In 3A, we are committed to providing your child with an educational experience that meets both his/her academic and social-emotional needs. We will achieve this by implementing a variety of instructional techniques and research-based practices. Likewise, students will engage in differentiating learning experiences; participate in hands-on, tactile learning; utilize technology; and partake in independent, small group, and whole group learning.
Our Team
Mr. Hunter 3A Teacher
Hello! I am Mr. Hunter! This will be my fourth year as a full-time teacher, but my time at Riverbank encompasses over five years.
From 2018-2019, I completed my student teaching internships at the Howley Preschool (Trenton, NJ) and at RBCS. After graduating with honors from William Paterson University in January 2020 with a dual degree in Early Childhood Education (w/Teacher of Students with Disabilities endorsement) and Liberal Studies, I joined the Riverbank staff as a kindergarten assistant before quickly transitioning to third grade.
Outside of Riverbank, I have worked part-time as a lifeguard, supervisor, and swim instructor at the Hamilton Area YMCA since 2013. I also have work experience as a lead instructor for the Y's summer camp and as a counselor for Pandolfini Sports Academies' Baseball Camp. Additionally, I have multiple years of substitute teaching experience in the Hamilton Township School District, and coach two baseball teams with the Central Jersey Rebels travel baseball program and Trenton Thunder Baseball Academy.
In my free time, I enjoy exercising, playing sports, going to the beach, and spending time with my girlfriend and family. I am looking forward to an exciting year of learning and growth!
Ms. Vandermark Third Grade Co-Teacher
Hi! I am Ms. Vandermark and I have been a teacher at Riverbank since 2009! For the past several several years, I have been part of the third grade team as the co-teacher, specializing in the Fundations/Wilson Reading Program (phonics). I also provide small group and one-on-one special education support for the second and third grade students.
Prior to my professional career, I attended both Trenton State College (now TCNJ) and Rowan University. I have always been creative, and love to engage my students in various ways! In fact, I was originally an art teacher for 15 years! I also was a graphic designer, and operated a printing company prior to my career in education.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my son and daughter. I also have a cute, rambunctious, and very needy dog named Molly (pictured above). She always keeps me on my toes! I also am an avid coffee enthusiast...I'm not sure what I would do without it!
I am looking forward to a wonderful year of learning in 3A!
